New Year’s Resolution Halfway Point

So it’s now six months since I started making an effort to watch all films directed by or written by women. I thought it might be a useful time for a round-up of the going so far, and though not all the films have been unqualified successes, I can honestly say that if I hadn’t made this resolution I wouldn’t have seen at least three of my top five, and this list would probably have been about that long in total.

Films I Haven’t Yet Seen

Despite my best efforts, I haven’t been able to watch all the films given an official UK release (based on the Film Distributors’ Association website). Some never seemed to make it to the big screen in London, or if they did it was for a very short run at anti-social hours. I shall try to catch up with them on home media at some point this year, but some of them (the Bollywood and Tamil ones in particular) may be difficult to track down.
